Southeast Bank Limited was established by a group of eminent business personalities and leading industrialists of the country in 1995. It was incorporated on March 12, 1995, as a Public Limited Company. The license to operate banking business in Bangladesh was issued to the Southeast Bank by the Bangladesh Bank on March 23, 1995. The first branch of the Bank was opened on May 25, 1995 at 1, Dilkusha Commercial Area, Dhaka.
